Trip to Ireland

What a fine pair.... and the kids aren't bad either. Amie and Noah get to meet Molly Malone in Dublin's Fair City. Her boobs are shiny because it's customery to give them a rub for luck (apparently).

Amie driving the boat on the Viking Splash Tour. http://www.vikingsplash.ie/. Would definately recommend it, was very informative and great fun. We got to 'be Vikings' and ROOOOAAARRRR at unsuspecting passersby.

Noah got a go too. The children also got called into the cockpit of the airplane when we were flying back to England. So some future career prospects there (though Noah still just wants to be a man when he grows up...I'm all for aiming for achievable goals, but sometimes it's good to stretch yourself).

Ah... Summer in Ireland

But where you have rain you sometimes get rainbows. This picture isn't great as it was taken from the car on the motorway, but it was a complete rainbow... the first I've seen in years.

Feeding the ducks by the canal, Noah almost thowing himself in each time he chucks bread in.

Aw isnt' it cute

Hightlight of Amie's holiday was getting to walk Grandad's dog.

Trunki's were really handy, great that the kids have to carry their own luggage.

Weekend in Cumbria

We had a lovely time visiting Nana and Pa in Cumbria this weekend. It took our mind off the trauma of Noah finishing nursery forever :) Cousins Benjamin and Thomas came up, and the children had a great time. We also snook out to see Harry Potter in the cinema and used up one of our final wedding gifts, with dinner in the Punch Bowl.

Noah had his first (and only) taster session at his new school this morning. He wanted to wear his uniform in today and looked so cute in it. The session seemed to have gone well, so hopefully he'll be happy to go back in September.

Jessie has found herself a new favourite resting place.. though obviously she still prefares to find a freshly ironed set of clothes if she can (rare find in this house at the moment!).

The two above images sum up the problem with chickens. One minute they're clucking away at you, and the next thing you know they've mistaken your toes for something tasty to eat.

Amie got some seeds a birthday present and we planted them out in the garden not expecting too much from them. For the longest time they looked like weeds, but have really come up nicely now as a bunch of wild flowers (complete with wild animals living in them!)

A lovely suprise this week was Emma making a flying visit to Wokingham. We had the chance to have lunch with her before she went to the airport which was lovely. Looking forward to catching up with her properly next month!

Happy Father's Day

We had a lovely Father's Day today (even if I didn't quite make it out of bed ontime to do Rich a fry up as promised...). The children had football this morning, and then there was a game between all the dad's afterwards. After lunch we made a trip to Farnham for the first time. It's a very pretty market town just 30 minutes drive away. Today there was a brass band playing in a lovely playground as well so the children had good fun inbetween being dragged around the shops. I look forward to going back there for a longer visit when the shops are all open soon. I have a few weeks when the children are still at school and I'm finished uni, so I will make the most of that :) We also got around to replacing our camera, so I'm able to update the blog with some photos of our day. We didnt' buy it till late in the day.. so there aren't THAT many photos.. hope to take a few more soon :)

Easter half term

Yesterday we made a trip to Odds Farm Park in High Wycombe. http://www.oddsfarm.co.uk/
The kids had a chance to go on a tractor trailer ride, and feed lambs with a bottle.. couldn't take a photo of this as the lambs were actually 4 months old and very strong, so I was busy holding onto the bottle too! In fact I'm thinking of suing Odds Farm under the trades description act.

Amie has perfected the art of one handed cycling.. occasionally the second hand comes off, but luckily not for very long!

We finally got our family passes to Legoland sorted out with the Tesco clubcards.... well worth using our points for as the kids had a fab time on the two days in a row that we went there.. might give it a rest for a few days!
