Welkommen to Wedel

Noah enjoying the view today in the Elbe shopping centre... very happy we bought this Phil and Ted's buggy before we left Haarlem, it's been really great for pushing up the hills here!

A very nice old man gave Amie this ice cream as she was walking down the main street... I thought it was my duty to help her out with it.. very nice it was too. She's been given bags of sweets by most of the neighbours too, will have to take her to the dentist soon!

We're finally online...took a little time, but to be honest we wouldn't have had time to update the site even if we'd had an internet connection.. it's been pretty busy around here (I think Rich goes to work for a rest, though he'd never admit it). But we're all settled in now, even the cats. They were SO happy to see us the night Rich collected them from the airport, they were even very well behaved the first few days... but they're back to their old selves now, happy now that they know we're not going to leave them behind :)

This is us the day we arrived at our new house, waiting for the key and the removal van :).. check out the new car Rich got from his company as a bonus for moving here (no not really.... we just hired it to get us here! :)

The boys outside no. 1c Mozartstrasse

I think Amie's going to be very happy here, the ice-creams are huge!!!

This is for Samantha... Amie's wearing the lovely Winnie the Pooh top you got for her

Doing our bit for global warming... we now have a car. Rich managed to get this one with a 1 year guarantee, so if it doesn't fall apart within the year we will be very happy. It's come in really handy and has loads of space, as you can see.

Yes, Wedel even has a beach, the Strandbad. This is really the estuary of the Elbe, and about 15 mins walk from our house. Last Sunday the weather was lovely so we spent the afternoon at the beach, Amie loved it.. Noah slept through most of it.

This pink elephant is outside our local shop. Amie likes to have a go on it, but is also a bit scared as it gives her an 'ow tummy'. This is good for us because then she only wants to sit on it, and not have it moving... pretty cheap entertainment.

Amie and daddy making their first bbq.. very tasty the sausages were too.

Jessie and Amie enjoying their garden. We have picnics outside for lunch when the weather is nice enough. Amie's nextdoor neighbour Lily sometimes joins us, she'll be 3 on Wednesday and Amie is going to her party (that's Amie's 2nd birthday party since we moved here, the little social butterfly that she is).

"Did somebody say picnic?". Neo doing his Yogi bear impression.

We're going to need a bigger pool.

Amie in the driving seat.

Great to have you back on the Blog! Looks like you are settling in well and making good use of that garden of yours. So you've got a Phil & Ted's too! - we love ours. Cx
